Picking up a tradition started by my own mother here at the Volkshochschule (Honor Nuala Müllan-Hughes) and a request from former students, I wish to here offer a course in which we can jointly explore English through the medium of (contemporary) literature. Learners will be expected to read 50 pages per week on average. What we read is to be decided as a group and it is suggested we follow relevant trends in factual and fictional writing. You are encouraged to come to the first session with ideas of what you would like to read. To participate in this course you should have at least a good B1 level. 5 – 9 Teilnehmer*innen

If you are interested in discussing current affairs, literature and a multitude of different subjects in English, including some revision of grammar, then why not join us? The class offers students the opportunity to initiate and participate in conversations with the whole group, and to work together in smaller groups. In addition to the required Student’s book, the cost of which is not included in the course fee, additional course material will be provided by the teacher.
